Welcome to the OAATS on-line news letter. We'll be developing this page over the next several months into what we hope will contain useful information with a slight sense of humor. If you would like to contribute drop us a line at webmaster@oaats.org and we'll be happy to consider your post. We also welcome any and all ideas for the site.
We're on Facebook!! Check us out! The 2011 Cracked OAATS Crunch will be held on September 17 & 18 and held at Scioto Trails State Forest. Ride managers will be Mollie Krumlaw-Smith (Endurance) and Carolyn Sullivan (CTR). More information will follow as finalized. Again this year we will be holding the AHA Region 14 Championship CTR ride on the same weekend. T

What's
new..... ~The Kings Island location turned out to be a great new site for our awards banquet! Those who couldn't make it missed a wonderful time. It was a great facility, great food and banquet room, and a much nicer environment in general. Plus for those with "non-horsie spouses" there is a lot to do in the immediate area. ~Ride season is just around the corner! Please make sure your memberships are paid up by your first ride! Maureen is now handling our memberships. ~The 2011 Ride Calendar is up!!! ~The region voted to discontinue using the Equine Journal as it's news magazine of choice last fall. As a lot of us really like getting the Journal OAATS has decided to keep the Journal subscriptions as a service to our members. If you have been receiving the Journal in the past you should have no interruption in your subscription. ~The AHA National Championship Endurance and CTR rides will be held the week of August 23 thru the 27 in Fort Stanton, NM and will be held in conjunction with the AERC National Championship Rides. More information will be available on these events in your AHA eblasts and for those who are members of AERC your Endurance News magazines. ~Once again OAATS members will be manning a joint AHA Region 14 and OAATS booth at the Equine Affaire. If you have some time available we'd love to have your help. Please contact Mickie for details.
The 2011 Regional Fun Ride will take place on August 18 thru 21 and again be held at Midwest Trail Ride. For those of you who haven't made it this is a GREAT event. Good food, great fun, bad dancing, games, and of course a weekend of trail riding! For more information contact Mollie Krumlaw-Smith at mkrumlaw@webcincy.com the new flyer will be posted soon!
