as The OAATS Crimp...
distance riders on edge

A big hello from Flossie the Flamingo! (our unofficial mascot)

Welcome to the OAATS on-line news letter.  We'll be developing this page over the next several months into what we hope will contain useful information with a slight sense of humor.

If you would like to contribute drop us a line at webmaster@oaats.org and we'll be happy to consider your post.  We also welcome any and all ideas for the site.

We're on Facebook!! Check us out!

The Scioto Run Endurance Rides are back and will once again be host to the Region 14 Championship Endurance Ride!  The rides will be held on June 26 & 27 this year.  Plans are well underway for this year's events and we're planning some fun and very "colorful" awards! We hope everyone can make it!

What's new.....

We Have a New Membership Form!  We now have one form for all of your membership, horse registrations, and recreational riding needs!  We thought this would be easier and less confusing for everyone involved.  The new form is available on-line now and is downloadable from the forms page.  The new form also reflects the AHA membership increase effective 4/1/2010 if you're a full member.  The annual OAATS membership fees have remained the same.

If you have any problems just drop Mollie a line and we'll make sure you get what you need.

We're excited to announce we have a new monthly news magazine the Equine Journal!  Beginning January 1, 2010 all full and associate members of OAATS will be receiving a free copy of this monthly magazine.  Our club activity is listed in the associate members area towards the back of each issue and is included with the Arabian activities.  If you haven't received your copy let Becky know. This is a wonderful publication with all kinds of information.  In addition as a club member you are eligible for discounted advertisements.  If you want to list something just let us know.

The 2010 Cracked OAATS Crunch will be held on September 18 & 19 and held at Scioto Trails State Forest.  Ride managers will be Mollie Krumlaw-Smith (Endurance) and Mickie Newnam (CTR).  More information will follow as finalized.  Again this year we will be holding both the AHA Region 14 Championship CTR and Endurance rides on the same weekend.

The 2010 Regional Fun Ride will take place on August 19 thru 22 and again be held at Midwest Trail Ride.  For those of you who haven't made it this is a GREAT event.  Good food, great fun, bad dancing, games, and of course a weekend of trail riding!  For more information contact Mollie Krumlaw-Smith at mkrumlaw@webcincy.com or download the flyer here.
